Boston: Part Four – Maine & New Hampshire, Eating Lobster Rolls Blessed by Martha Stewart Herself
When my sister and I were plotting out things to do while I was in Boston, the topic of Maine and New Hampshire came up. Tyler used to live in New Hampshire and still had some friends in the area, so they thought it’d be fun to introduce me to one of their friends and take me around to different states. In comparison to the West Coast, it seems like the East Coast states are a little closer together, which makes for quick, easy getaways. I forget how big the West Coast (well, more like California) really is until the

Boston: Part Three – The Public Library & Beacon Hill feat. Grandpa Aesthetics
If there’s anything I refuse to give up, it’s carbs. I have tried the keto diet before and while it is fun to eat a crap ton of meat and get “meat sweats,” it is also very, very miserable because you aren’t allowed to eat carbs. That means no bread, no pasta, no rice, and (the ultimate death sentence for me) NO FRIES. On my list of places to eat while visiting Boston was KOKO Bakery. I was originally drawn in by the fact that they serve matcha lattes, but the cute bread animals were what really sealed the deal

Review: KOKO Bakery
KOKO Bakery Rating: ★★★★★ Address: 232L California Street, Newton, MA 02458 Hours of Operations: Monday – Tuesday: Closed, Wednesday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Saturday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Sunday: Closed Dog shaped bread, what more could you possibly ask for? My sister and BIL took me here early on a Saturday morning and it was already busy and packed! The shop itself is pretty small (could maybe comfortably cram 4-5 people in there), but it was clean and smelled amazing when we got inside. KOKO Bakery focuses more on quality than quantity, so be aware of this when

Boston: Part Two – Millennium Park
After Colleen and I got home on Friday, they decided to show me Millennium Park – a great place to go for a jog, cycle, or have some play time with your dog. The park itself is pretty big, so if your dog isn’t a fan of other people or dogs, you can easily take them to a more secluded area. We saw lots of dogs off leash, but I probably wouldn’t do that for Mocha or Latte. Those two little terrors have a high prey drive and would just run off, never to be found again lol. I brought

Boston: Part One – The Public Garden & Other Places I Ended Up Not Getting To
Last month I went to go visit my sister and my brother-in-law in Boston and I am finally getting around to editing photos and posting them. It’s been a few months since I last saw my sister (I think the last time I saw her was in January!) and I hadn’t visited her since she moved (over 4-5? years ago), so this trip was well overdue. Colleen warned me that she wouldn’t be able to take too much time off of work to babysit me. Not a huge deal, I was telecommuting for work half the days anyway and as much as

Review: Ogawa Coffee
Ogawa Coffee Rating: ★★★★☆ Address: 10 Milk Street, Boston, MA 02108 Hours of Operations: Monday – Friday: 6:30 AM – 9:00 PM, Saturday – Sunday: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM If you know me at all, you’ll know that I don’t really drink coffee (let alone caffeine). I don’t know what it is, but I just can’t get used to the taste of coffee. Never liked it, even as a standalone flavor for ice cream or something. I actively avoid foods that have a lot of coffee flavor in it. I drink tea occasionally, but even that is rare. Same with soda.

Review: DRIFT eat + drink
DRIFT eat + drink Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ Address: 3777 La Jolla Village Dr, San Diego, CA 92122 Hours of Operations: Monday – Sunday: 11:00 AM – 12:00 AM Disappointing on so many different levels. Julie and I were staying at the Hyatt for a girl’s weekend/staycation and decided to try out DRIFT as they were giving a 15% discount to hotel guests. We didn’t feel like traveling too far for food, so we stopped by on an early Saturday evening – roughly 6 o’clock or so. The restaurant itself is very nice! Modern and clean with lots of white furniture, which makes the

Having friends who cosplay means that I get to practice my photography, mostly at different conventions. When Tiff told me that Ben (her boyfriend) would be cosplaying for the first time this year, I knew I had to do a shoot with him – mostly because my photography portfolio consists of the same 3 people over and over again. (That and it is pretty much ONLY girls right now. LMAO.) Ben and I set up a general time frame of when we wanted to shoot (early Sunday morning) and discussed areas we could shoot at. I wanted to get up

Review: Ramen MENMA
Ramen MENMA Rating: ★★★★★ Address: 509 Mission Ave, Oceanside, CA 92054 Hours of Operations: Monday – Tuesday: Closed, Wednesday – Sunday: 11:30 AM – 2:30 PM, 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM Ever since I moved to North County, there’s one thing that I’ve missed the most: ramen. To be honest, the ramen in San Diego is a little lackluster in comparison to LA and the Bay Area. Ever since I went to Japan in 2015, I’ve been looking for a place that would properly satisfy my ramen craving. When I found out that there was a legit Japanese-owned ramen shop opening up
